Update from Netherlands

UPDATE FROM UTRECHT (THE NETHERLANDS) 🇱🇺
Since our team arrived here in July/August 2019, our families have been able to settle well into all things Utrecht. Our older kids are doing great at daycare and school, and the babies are healthy and thriving. Philip’s theology studies at Tyndale University are going well, and Jacques is building valuable relationships at the Utrechtse rugbyclub, where he joined the coaching team. Maryke and Kobie are forging friendships with other moms and have officially become one with their mom-bikes. We are building great relationships with our neighbours, and feeling more and more comfortable in our new country.
Our key focus areas at the moment are to step up the intensity of our Dutch lessons, build our presence on campus, start One2One groups and to collaborate with others in the Netherlands who are also interested in supporting this church plant or making disciples with us.
We find the GodTest to be a very effective tool for conversations on campus, and we’ve had very positive encounters with students every time we visit campus. Our translation of the Dutch One2One has been finalised, and we are excited to hold the first printed booklets in our hands later this year.
God has really gone ahead of us in every aspect - our relocation, protection of our families, forming real friendships with locals, and open doors on campus. Thanks so much to everyone who has prayed us through all of it until now.
Please continue to pray for divine appointments, that the people we engage will be open to hear the truth of the Gospel, and for many new disciples to be equipped to be bold and make more disciples. There is lots of work to be done in the Netherlands!
