Update from Canada

There is so much of news to share with all of you.  It has been a year since we launched the Every Nation church and it has been an interesting year. We have had disappointments but also moments of joy as a church. Please continue to pray that the Lord will give us open doors with people so that we can build relationships and share the gospel.

I am sure by now you all would have heard about the addition to our family. What a precious surprise from the Lord, little Miss Peyton Sabrena was born on the 17th of November. It has been 11 weeks of absolute joy for us as a family. The kids are loving having their new sister around and have been really good with caring for her.  When we landed in Canada we were introduced to a couple who ran an outreach center in one of the poorest parts of the city. We spent some time working with them learning the local culture and in early 2019 they asked us if we would consider taking over this project from them as they were wanting to retire. After processing this with our Canadian EN leadership and local leaders we took over this outreach center in June 2019. 7 months into us leading this project we have made some significant changes to this outreach center. It is now a church community. This past week we launched the new name of this church work. The new name is "Freedom House".  The community at Freedom House is very different to the EN Luxton community. Due to the nature of this community we rely heavily on volunteers, donations and sponsorships to keep our doors open. Our average Sunday service attendance is about 130 and weekday breakfast program attendance is about 50 per day. We also run a foodbank for about 60 people every 2 weeks.  We feel this is part of the reason God called us to Winnipeg, we get to work with a lot of First Nations (indigenous) people and refugees (from Africa and middle east).

Much Love

Once again our heartfelt thanks to South Africa for your continued prayer and financial support. While 2020 had its challenges and uncertainty, a gospel centred ministry remains the same. Prior to Man
